Recreation Leader I (Concession Stand Worker)

JOB SUMMARY
Recreation Leader I – Under general supervision, the Concession Stand Worker is responsible for maintaining operations and assisting customers at the concession stand. This position requires the individual to have excellent customer service skills, positive attitude, basic food preparation skills, ability to provide accurate counting and balancing of daily transactions, and assist with inventory tracking and stocking.

Ability to provide excellent customer service while working in a fast-paced environment
Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times, including taking orders, accepting payments, handling payments through cash, credit and debit cards, and making change
Stock and restock items as needed
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed as required by county licensing regulations
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Recreation Services Coordinator
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ABILITY TO
Understand and follow simple oral and written instructions
Possess basic math ability to accurately count and handle money
Able to provide excellent customer service to patrons
Have ability to problem solve and work independently and with limited direct-supervision
Previous cash handling experience is preferred
Have ability to stoop, lift and stand for long periods of time
Have a positive attitude and neat appearance
Able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays and special events
KNOWLEDGE OF
Accounting procedures (cash handling)
Routine mathematical skills
Stocking
Basic reading and writing
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid California driver’s license.
Others as required
