Sales Associate – Bicycles International (Venice, FL)
Bicycles International is hiring a Sales Associate to join our team in Venice, Florida. Since 1986, we’ve been a locally owned bike shop serving our community with knowledgeable service, quality products, and a customer‑first approach. We are looking for someone dependable, motivated, and comfortable in a fast‑paced retail environment.
This is an
entry‑level, in‑person retail role
with opportunities for growth based on performance, reliability, and willingness to learn. Prior bicycle industry experience is helpful but not required—we provide training.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers on the sales floor in a professional, approachable manner
Guide customers through the full sales process (bikes, accessories, rentals, basic service intake)
Share product knowledge and enthusiasm for cycling
Accurately use POS systems (Lightspeed experience is a plus)
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales environment
Support daily shop operations and team workflow
Complete training and ongoing product education (Trek University)
What We’re Looking For
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable riding a bicycle and discussing basic bike use
Basic computer and POS skills
Self‑starter with the ability to multitask and stay organized
Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented
Schedule & Compensation
Pay:
Starting at
$16/hour
Hours:
Full‑time (approximately 40 hours/week)
Fast‑paced, active retail environment
Paid time off and additional benefits begin after one year of employment
