The Fountain Group
Remote Position - 3 positions to fill
Pay: $70-75/hour. W2 only
Duration: 1 yr with extensions based on client need and performance
The role: As a Product Designer, you'll take the lead in shaping key web and mobile application products and features from the ground up — defining how they work, look, and feel. You'll work closely with cross‑functional teams to turn complex human needs into clear, intuitive digital experiences. This is a hands‑on role: you'll sketch, prototype, test, and refine designs, ensuring that every experience is not only intuitive but also deeply human‑centered.
Key Responsibilities:
Interaction Design – Analyze business requirements and user needs to create user flows and task flow diagrams. Translate your ideas into wireframes and prototypes for stakeholder and user feedback.
Visual Design – Create beautiful mock‑ups of visual designs consistent with UI guidelines and Client's brand standards.
Design System – Utilize the company's design system to create new templates and user flows, working closely with the engineering team.
Collaboration – Closely work with product managers and user researchers to understand customer needs and make informed design decisions. Negotiate technical feasibility of your designs with engineering and support agile teams in developing high‑quality user interfaces.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Design / Human Factors or related field, with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience is required. Prefer closer to 6‑10 years of experience.
A sophisticated design sensibility with a refined eye for UI patterns, visual hierarchy, and strong visual execution — including layout, typography, color, and micro interactions.
A strong portfolio demonstrating both mobile and web product design is required.
Figma wireframing experience is required.
Ability to create pixel perfect images in Adobe Photoshop is required.
Experience with design systems is strongly preferred.
Consumer‑facing product design experience is essential.
Portfolios should also showcase recent work, especially consumer products, with clear evidence of the impact of design decisions.
