Our Cancellations department is seeking a detail-oriented and assertive Premium Recovery Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in managing and collecting return premiums and outstanding balances from insurance companies, agents, and other relevant parties. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and partners. Responsibilities

Manage and track an assigned portfolio of canceled accounts, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Document account details accurately, including return premiums and outstanding balances, based on information received from insurance companies, agents, and other stakeholders. Communicate with various parties such as agents, general agents, insurance carriers, and insured clients to verify and update account information. Invoice agents/insureds based on cancellation information from insurance markets, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Review and process payments for canceled policies on a daily basis, ensuring all payments are posted correctly. Ensure accurate documentation is maintained for all accounts and necessary paperwork is completed in a timely manner. Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor or management, contributing to department-wide success. Note:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills—ability to engage professionally with a wide range of individuals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel). Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively. Organized and detail-oriented, with strong time-management skills. Willingness to work overtime when required to meet deadlines. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all work. Preferred Experience

Proven communication and problem-solving skills, especially in a phone-based setting. Experience in collections or related fields, or experience with Insurance Background in customer service. Multilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are a plus. Additional Information
