Role Description
This is a remote, commission sales, contract role for a Freelance Publicist. The Publicist will strategize and execute public relations initiatives to strengthen brand visibility and connect Huemanity Unlimited's mission with key audiences. Daily tasks include creating and distributing press materials, coordinating media outreach, managing relationships with journalists, and securing coverage in industry publications. The Publicist will also support content creation for marketing campaigns and collaborate with internal teams to amplify the company’s messaging and thought leadership.
Qualifications
Proficiency in media relations, including creating press releases, pitching media, and securing coverage.
Experience in developing and executing public relations strategies, including managing campaigns and ensuring target audience engagement.
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and adapt messaging to different audiences.
Knowledge of marketing and social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and align PR efforts with broader marketing campaigns.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a remote, contract-based role.
Previous experience in professional services industries or purpose-driven organizations is a plus.
Familiarity with digital tools for media outreach, analytics, and campaign management is an asset.
