Growth & Outreach Manager - New York Ketamine & Interventional Psychiatry (NYC)

Overview New York Ketamine Infusions is seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven Growth & Outreach Manager to accelerate patient volume across our NYC ketamine infusion and interventional psychiatry clinics. This leader will be responsible for developing and maintaining deep partnerships with mental health professionals, primary care practices, academic centers, hospital referral networks, and community-based organizations to expand access to our evidence-based ketamine services.
This role is foundational to the long-term viability of the NYC clinics and requires someone who can combine strategic planning, disciplined execution, and consistent weekly results.
Key Responsibilities 1. Referral Partner Development & Relationship Management (Primary Focus)
Build a targeted referral network across NYC-including psychiatrists, psych NPs, therapists, psychologists, PCPs, pain management, and specialty clinics
Develop a structured weekly meeting cadence (10-12 partner touches/week)
Educate providers on indications for ketamine therapy (TRD, PTSD, severe anxiety, chronic suicidality), referral workflows, clinical outcomes, and insurance coverage
Create and maintain a referral partner CRM, track conversion rates, and identify highest-yield relationships
Coordinate lunch-and-learns, in-service trainings, and case-based discussions with providers
Serve as the partnership liaison for hospital outpatient clinics, care managers, and emergency departments
2. Market Expansion & Practice Growth
Identify white-space geographies and under-served neighborhoods within NYC and partner with leadership on targeted outreach campaigns
Support launch of adjacent service lines (Spravato, TMS, psych med management) through educational campaigns and referral alignment
Map the competitive landscape and articulate NYKI's differentiation (clinical model, safety protocols, mid-level expertise, patient experience)
3. Patient Pipeline Optimization
Assist clinic leadership in smoothing referral handoffs, scheduling speed, and same-week consult availability
Monitor funnel metrics weekly (new referrals, consults booked, consults completed, conversions)
Collaborate with the clinical team to re-engage patients lost to follow-up
4. Marketing & Provider Education Support
Partner with marketing to create digital and print collateral tailored to NYC providers
Develop educational materials aligned with NY State guidelines and ABS clinical protocols
Represent NYKI at conferences, community events, and professional association meetings
5. Reporting & Accountability
Maintain weekly dashboards showing:
Referral volume and sources
Conversion rates
Top referring partners
Pipeline performance
Outreach activities (quantified weekly)
Present performance updates biweekly to the President and Clinical Director.
Align activities to quarterly growth targets.
Qualifications
3-7 years of experience in healthcare outreach, medical sales, behavioral health growth roles, or provider relations
Strong understanding of NYC's behavioral health ecosystem
Ability to build authentic, productive relationships with clinicians
Excellent communication, presentation, and follow-up discipline
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving clinical environment
Experience in ketamine, psychiatry, interventional mental health, or related service lines strongly preferred
Success Profile (First 90 Days)
Build master list of 200+ targeted referral partners in NYC
Conduct >75 outreach touches (meetings, calls, follow-ups)
Establish 10-15 strong recurring referral relationships
Increase weekly consults and return visits through pipeline improvement
Ensure full weekend/week-ahead schedules for NYKI mid-levels
Support re-engagement of inactive patients
