We are seeking an Associate OSP CAD Designer to support engineering and field teams by converting design sketches and technical inputs into accurate, high-quality CAD drawings. This role is responsible for producing complete and precise construction-ready documentation while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
The ideal candidate has hands‑on CAD drafting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering concepts into clear visual designs.
Job Title: Associate – OSP CAD Designer
Location: New York (Remote / Virtual)
Key Responsibilities
Convert engineers’ and technicians’ design sketches and inputs into detailed CAD drawings.
Produce accurate, final drawings that meet engineering and documentation standards.
Review engineering drawings and supporting documentation to ensure completeness, clarity, and accuracy.
Identify and resolve missing or unclear design details in coordination with engineering teams.
Maintain drafting standards and follow established CAD and documentation guidelines.
Use peripheral equipment as needed to transfer digital drawings into hardcopy formats.
Support ongoing updates, revisions, and quality checks throughout the design lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of CAD drafting experience.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD/CADD) tools.
Strong experience working with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Hands-on experience with Bentley MicroStation.
Solid computer skills and ability to work with engineering software applications.
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work in a remote environment.
Desirable Skills
Telecommunications or OSP design exposure (preferred but not required).
Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed engineering teams.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
