Key Holder
From humble beginnings, one small bakery in Baltimore has grown to become a staple in our community. The Key Holder is a frontline leader responsible for supporting daily store operations, opening and closing the restaurant, and creating and maintaining a positive guest and employee experience. This role acts as a shift supervisor, providing guidance to staff during service, maintaining operational standards, and assisting with administrative and inventory tasks as assigned. The Key Holder represents management during shifts in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager. Opening and/or closing the bakery/restaurant according to company policies, including securing the building, overseeing alarm systems, and ensuring all equipment is powered down or activated properly. Document incidents, attendance concerns, performance issues and communicate to store manager. Oversee front-of-house operations to maintain exceptional guest service, efficient flow, and cleanliness standards. Assist in training and coaching team members, reinforcing company culture, service standards, and performance expectations. Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalte issues to management when needed. Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are followed in compliance with local health regulations. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with deliveries and storage rotation (FIFO). Handle cash management responsibilities, including counting drawers, safe counts, bank deposits, and reconciling discrepancies according to policy. Support production coordination, make sure product par levels are met and front displays are replenished and visually appealing. Maintain a calm, positive, leadership presence. Minimum of 12 years of experience barista experience, food service, caf, or bakery environments; high-volume experience strongly preferred. Previous supervisory or shift lead experience highly preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead, motivate, and work collaboratively with a diverse team. Ability to remain professional and solution-oriented during busy or stressful service periods. Understanding of food handling, sanitation standards, and safety protocols. Comfortable handling money, operating POS systems, and completing shift paperwork. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 810 hours per shift). Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry up to 35 lbs. Comfortable working in a fast-paced bakery/restaurant environment.
