Responsibilities
Actively seek and develop new accounts and represent the company to potential customers.
Travel locally from customer sites to establish and build relationships.
Sell company-supported products and services.
Meet sales goals set by management.
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of products and services to provide accurate information to customers.
Evaluate customer needs and make recommendations using a value-selling approach.
Attend sales training and continually build product knowledge.
Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting of commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, sitting and squatting.
Create or increase truck tire sales through a planned program of regular solicitation.
Schedule fleet service appointments and coordinate appointments with the service department.
Conduct fleet needs evaluations and provide customers with cost analysis and benefits.
Ensure prompt resolution of tire adjustments and proper handling of customer casings.
Deliver tires to customers as needed.
Basic Requirements
2 years or more of successful sales and/or business-to-business experience.
Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle required and ability to meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
At least 21 years of age.
No relocation is offered for this position.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Associate Degree in a related field.
Previous business-to-business sales experience.
Candidate Criteria
Strong oral and written communication ability.
Commitment to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
Ability to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Self-starter, willing to take initiative, work without direct supervision, and attend appropriate training sessions.
