CorMedix Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company developing and commercializing therapeutic products for prevention and treatment of life‑threatening conditions. We are commercializing DefenCath®, MINOCIN®, REZZAYO®, VABOMERE®, ORBACTIV™, BAXDELA®, KIMYRSA®, and TOPROL‑XL®, and we have ongoing clinical studies for DefenCath and REZZAYO.

Position Summary:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) position is a hospital‑based or integrated sites of care‑based role focused on launching and selling innovative products in assigned institutional accounts, including IDNs and alternate sites of care for infusion. The KAM educates clinicians on the clinical benefits of CorMedix products, facilitates formulary access, expands product utilization, and ensures contract and clinician access opportunities to achieve company goals. The KAM follows hospitalized patient journeys, calls Long Term Acute Care hospitals and home infusion companies as necessary, and manages key accounts across the Arizona territory.

Primary Responsibilities

Increase product access and sales by navigating the institutional formulary approval process and educating customers on appropriate use of CorMedix products.

Secure placement of products on account protocols and ensure inclusion in EMR systems.

Develop relationships with local infusion sites, LTACHs, and home infusion companies.

Develop territory and account‑level plans to grow product utilization, formulary access, and expand the customer base.

Understand multiple interdependencies within an account, consider treatment goals and needs, and maximize performance by aligning solutions, messaging, and stakeholders.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with opinion leaders, physicians, medical staff, and pharmacies.

Plan, coordinate, and implement hospital‑oriented education forums in accordance with company policies and business plans.

Partner with treatment committees to include CorMedix products on appropriate disease‑state protocols.

Facilitate continuity of care for discharging patients via inclusion of CorMedix products on discharge protocols and alignment of reimbursement resources.

Collaborate and communicate with Sales, Medical Affairs, National Accounts, Marketing, and Sales Administration on needs, opportunities, key opinion leader touch points, formulary changes, and pull‑through initiatives.

Skills & Requirements

Proven track record of sales within a hospital environment of the assigned territory/accounts.

Recent acute care hospital or integrated sites of care sales experience in the territory.

Ability to create alternate sites of care in the territory.

Understanding of selling in a buy‑and‑bill market.

Success planning and executing a new product or solution launch into a hospital/account setting.

Highly motivated, self‑starter, and results‑driven individual.

Ability to work independently and as a team member under pressure, shifting priorities, and a changing landscape.

Strong project management skills to ensure timelines are met and to prioritize and multitask.

Passion for continuous professional development and learning.

Ability to work in a matrix environment and value teamwork.

Ability to establish and build relationships and rapport with a diverse customer base.

Strong ability to learn and use technical product knowledge.

Willingness and ability to provide proof of childhood immunizations, a negative TB test, and other requirements set by each hospital’s credentialing protocol for access.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum of 7 years of related pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and/or training experience.

Minimum of 3 years in an account selling role within a hospital/account ecosystem.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to travel as needed to sustain key relationships and attend conferences and sales meetings.

Preferred buy/bill and home infusion experience.

Preferred hospital experience in Acute Care, Infectious Disease, and/or Hemodialysis.
