Job Description Brainerd Helicopter Services Inc. is hiring a Bell 407 mechanic to support aerial firefighting contracts for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and USFS. This is a permanent, full‑time position. The schedule is set in January for the entire firefighting season (generally March – October); the winter maintenance schedule is set following firefighting season (November‑March).

The work schedule is 12 on/12 off during the fire season and generally the same for winter maintenance with slight modifications to work around the major holidays.

The Minnesota DNR contract is located at Cambridge, MN, March – June. The USFS contract is located at Swan Valley, ID, June to October. Annual/heavy maintenance is conducted at our home base in Brainerd, MN, November – March.

Duties

Function as the mechanic/fuel service vehicle operator on a Bell 407 for a MN DNR/USFS fire contract.

Perform annual maintenance on rotation schedule during non‑contract period.
