Senior Management Analyst

Join a mission-driven team supporting a federal agency by providing senior-level Management Analyst support to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Senior Management Analyst supports program oversight, policy development, and strategic planning efforts by collecting, analyzing, and managing program data; developing reports and performance metrics; and assisting leadership in achieving organizational goals and compliance requirements. This position plays a critical role in identifying statistical, analytical, and operational issues; conducting assessments; and delivering data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative, analytical, and technical support to security and risk management program operations.
Identify statistical, analytical, and operational issues; conduct assessments; and develop analytical products with findings and recommendations.
Maintain automated systems to track project milestones, suspense dates, work breakdown structures, and program deliverables.
Develop, validate, and disseminate recurring progress, status, and performance reports for management review.
Collect and compile data from technical specialists and program managers; query and transform data into standard reporting formats.
Independently complete special research requests by extracting and analyzing data from multiple automated systems.
Apply existing directives, regulations, guidelines, and handbooks to support program updates, policy implementation, and compliance efforts.
Manage program information repositories, including uploading, downloading, and maintaining accurate data within shared electronic systems.
Prepare finalized program documentation packages, ensuring proper formatting, assembly, and distribution to stakeholders.
Monitor program mailboxes and submission portals to track deliverables, documentation, and time‑sensitive program data.
Maintain accountability logs and prepare statistical reports related to security assessments, surveys, and incident documentation.
Assist with the development and enhancement of databases and automated tools to improve program tracking, accountability, and efficiency.
Support the development of documentation packages for unfunded program requirements submitted for leadership or board-level review.
Coordinate the collection, filing, cross‑referencing, and analysis of incident and assessment reports; prepare summary statistics for program evaluation.
Provide analytical input to support policy formulation, strategic planning, and professional or organizational goal development.
Education and Experience Education:
Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) required.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security, intelligence, law enforcement, or a closely related field.
Skills and Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with leadership and stakeholders.
Strong ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and present data to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to conduct independent research, and capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain DHS public trust suitability through a DHS background investigation.
