Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven business development representative to join our sales team. This role focuses on selling environmental compliance products to clients within the industrial and oil and gas sectors, as well as to industrial distribution channels. The ideal candidate will leverage an existing book of business while actively hunting for new business opportunities to drive growth and expand market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development:

Create and implement effective sales strategies aimed at promoting AssetGuard products within the industrial and oil and gas markets.

Account Management:

Manage and grow an existing book of business, nurturing relationships with current clients while delivering exceptional service and support.

Business Development:

Actively pursue new business opportunities by identifying potential clients, initiating contact, and presenting tailored solutions that meet their environmental compliance needs.

Market Research:

Conduct thorough market analysis to stay informed of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging customer requirements. Adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Customer Engagement:

Build and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers in the industrial and oil and gas sectors, as well as within distribution channels.

Product Promotion:

Clearly articulate the value proposition of our environmental compliance products, showcasing how they solve client challenges and meet regulatory standards.

Sales Presentations:

Deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to potential clients, highlighting product benefits and competitive advantages.

Collaboration:

Work closely with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align sales efforts with overall company objectives and customer needs.

Performance Tracking:

Monitor sales performance against established targets and deliver regular updates to management on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

Continuous Learning:

Stay abreast of industry regulations, best practices, and product developments to provide knowledgeable insights to clients.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years of sales or business development experience in oil and gas, industrial safety, and distribution, with a proven record of achievement.

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred, with applicable experience considered.

Proven ability to sell to both small businesses and enterprise‑level clients.

Willingness to travel 50% or more, as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Familiarity with industrial safety and environmental regulations, standards, and market applications.

Exceptional sales skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and close new opportunities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.

Highly organized, self‑motivated, and results‑oriented, with the ability to work independently.

Strategic thinker who balances immediate sales objectives with long‑term growth strategies.

Comprehensive understanding of the industrial market landscape, including safety and compliance needs.

Knowledge of the oil and gas and industrial distribution sectors.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Working Conditions

Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
