Outside Sales Engineer (Sales) Classification: Exempt

Salary Grade: The salary is $85,000-$110,000, commensurate with experience, education, and other job-related factors

Reports to: Sales Manager

Date: January 2026

Summary As an Outside Sales Engineer/Representative (Engineer title will be given with an Engineering degree, otherwise Representative title will be used), you will endeavor to develop and maintain customer relationships through quality service and support of their needs and to sell our Applied Product offerings through Mechanical contractors across the CT/Western Massachusetts region.

Essential Functions

Create and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales goals and market growth targets

Review building plans, select highly configurablemechanicalproducts based onperformanceandrequiredaccessories and follow through with pricing/quoting/negotiating and sellingconfigured products to customers.(The products we represent includebut are notlimitedto:airdistributionproducts,terminals,fansandmechanicalequipment.)

Follow up will include detailedreview of the equipments performance based on application,releases, job tracking,customerassistanceduringthe various stages of projects andmaintainingcustomer relationships on assigned accounts

Possess technical acumen and knowledge of selling principles for the HVAC industry

Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers

Ability to follow established sales guidelines and procedures

Required Education & Experience

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or other related degree OR 3 plus years experience in the HVAC industry

Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Office

and Outlook

Ability to read and understand blueprints, equipment schedules and specifications
