Ohel is seeking a motivated and organized Outreach Coordinator to support families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Coordinator will lead community outreach, organize educational workshops, build partnerships with local organizations to raise awareness of Ohel’s programs and services. The Coordinator will also support families throughout the enrollment process, assist with completing required paperwork, and advocate on behalf of individuals and families. This position involves maintaining accurate records, collaborating with staff and support coordinators, and contributing to program development initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead community outreach efforts to raise awareness of Ohel’s programs and services.

Organize educational workshops to support families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations at multiple levels.

Support families throughout the enrollment process, including completing required paperwork.

Advocate on behalf of individuals and families.

Maintain accurate records and collaborate with staff and support coordinators.

Contribute to program development initiatives.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience within the field of disabilities or a related field.

Excellent organizational skills.

Superior verbal and written communication skills.

Dedicated work ethic.

Excellent computer skills.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required).

Ability to work independently and as part of a group.

Job Details

Full-time position located in Teaneck, NJ.

Occasional travel for meetings and events.

Competitive benefits package includes a 403B retirement plan with employee contribution, sick and vacation paid time off (PTO), full-time health insurance, and eligibility based on hours worked, classification, and waiting periods.

Salary: $35.00–$50.00 per hour.
