Business Development Manager - Intelligence Unit Base: $92,000-$115,000 + Commission | Full-Time | Hybrid 3 days a week - Manhattan

A global leader in the economic, political, and industry analysis sector is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Americas region. This role offers the opportunity to sell high-value research, data, and advisory solutions to a diverse client base spanning financial services, corporate enterprises, government, consulting, and professional services.

About the Role As a Business Development Manager, you will take a consultative, insight‑led approach to acquiring new clients and expanding business within your assigned territory. You will identify strategic challenges facing prospects and position analytical solutions that support confident decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

Generate net‑new business across a portfolio of accounts, including Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies

Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery to negotiation and close

Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through proactive outreach, including cold calling and marketing‑led follow‑up

Identify client challenges and map them to the appropriate solutions

Prepare accurate sales forecasts and contribute new growth ideas

Achieve and exceed KPIs, sales quotas, and activity expectations

Collaborate closely with internal sales support, marketing, and product teams

Continually deepen your understanding of product offerings, industry trends, and client needs

Who You Are

Proven hunter with experience cold calling and winning new business

Strong achievement record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills

Able to simplify complex concepts for senior‑level buyers

Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑moving environment

Creative problem‑solver and proactive self‑starter

Industry experience is a plus, but strong sales skills are the priority

Compensation

Base salary:

$92,000-$115,000

Commission:

Approx. $75,000 on‑target (plus ~20% accelerator potential)
