Reporting directly to the company’s Vice‑President, this position’s primary responsibility is creating accurate electrical Auto CAD drawings based on our Estimator’s Bid / Design. The role assists all Project Managers and Estimators in their day‑to‑day operations of a job (pre‑bid, take‑offs, job maintenance, development and close‑outs) as well as any administrative needs for the PM and Estimating teams. Essential functions
The duties identified below are the essential functions of the position. Other duties may be assigned that align with the summary of this position. Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) construction documents. Works directly with the Project Management and Estimating Teams to support them with day‑to‑day operations, including contacting vendors for electrical quotes, entering bid information into Accubid software, etc. Assists the Estimator in preparing job estimates and/or quotations on a regular basis. Assists in forecasting job needs including material, labor and timeline requirements. Maintains and files job records to include open bids, lost bids, awarded projects and completed jobs. Contributes insights, observations and information that support short and long‑term job planning and design work phases. Qualifications
To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks. Experience required
Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). Degree or experience in Architectural Drafting; Electrical drafting is a plus. Degree or experience in Construction Project Management. Knowledge and skills required
Familiar with job costing software a plus. Familiar with Accubid Estimating Software a plus. Honesty and trustworthiness. Understanding of construction job day‑to‑day operations. Ability to work for the team’s goals. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision. Outstanding interpersonal relationship building. Physical requirements
To accomplish the essential functions of the position, one must be physically able to operate or work with computers, calculators, reference books, computer software applications, phones and other standard office equipment.
