The
Dealer.com Performance Manager
is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external clients to ensure client needs drive priorities and activities. The role focuses on product utilization, upgrades, harvest sales, and revenue retention. What You'll Do
Own external client relationships and manage the progress and results of all accounts within the portfolio. Build upgrade and harvest revenue opportunities while maintaining client goals as the driving force behind priorities. Retain clients through virtual screen share engagements and occasional onsite visits, increasing product utilization and client business processes. Develop strong working relationships with clients and all dealership staff. Work with at‑risk clients using consultative strategies to turn around and retain relationships. Identify barriers preventing clients from meeting business objectives and recommend solutions. Respond to client contact proactively and influence them on product use. Analyze account performance and trends to adjust dealer expectations, goals, and objectives. Monitor system red flags and emergencies, taking immediate action. Improve existing processes and systems through client engagement. Maintain product knowledge and provide training on new releases and enhancements. Work independently to moderate complex issues. Conduct analysis to build ROI in the software and recommend improvements. Assist or train new or less experienced performance managers. Perform full range of performance management responsibilities for complex client issues. Consistently maintain client relationships and internal metrics. Own special projects such as Dealer workshops, webinars, product ownership, new hire training, and vendor events. Complete internal tasks and trainings on time. Perform any other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience. Alternate combinations acceptable, e.g., master’s with 2 years, Ph.D. with up to 1 year, or 8 years’ experience. Preferred Qualifications
4+ years experience in a retail automotive dealership setting. 4+ years managing digital marketing strategies for a single rooftop or dealer group. Proven sales acumen. In‑depth knowledge of client engagement and retail automotive capabilities through software. Proficiency in Microsoft suite, screen‑share technologies, and related software systems. Openness to change and embrace new technologies. Ability to work with all levels at a dealership or dealer group. Track progress to help clients reach performance goals using software and partners. Expert verbal and written communication skills that retain audience engagement. Exceptional listening skills and ability to detect risks remotely. Strong client focus and customer service approach. Persistent, proactive self‑starter passionate about client satisfaction. Remote work capability with limited supervision and risk taking. Collaborative attitude using remote sharing technologies. Eagerness to learn complex technology and web‑based systems. Travel up to ~15%; most travel is in‑market, overnight, occasional weekends. Compensation
Base salary range: $75,000.00 – $112,600.00 per year. Eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $27,000.00. Benefits
The company offers flexible vacation with pay, seven paid holidays per year, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually. Additional paid time off options include bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
