Overview
The Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and The University of Vermont Health Network is seeking an orthopaedic spine surgeon for a full-time position as assistant or associate professor on the clinical scholar pathway. Responsibilities include elective patient care, level I spine trauma call, as well as resident and medical student teaching. The University of Vermont Health Network is a six-hospital network. This position will have clinical responsibilities at both our Burlington, VT and Plattsburgh, NY locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide elective patient care in orthopaedic spine surgery.
- Participate in level I spine trauma call.
- Teach residents and medical students.
Qualifications
- Board eligible or certified orthopaedic surgeon.
- Fellowship trained in orthopaedic spine surgery.
- Eligible for licensure in Vermont and New York; eligible to work in the United States.
- Strong clinical background with demonstrable interest in pursuing research, teaching, and/or administrative activities.
- This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges in the University of Vermont Health Network.
Location
Clinically active at Burlington, VT and Plattsburgh, NY locations within UVMMC/UV Health Network.

Compensation
Base pay range: $600,000.00/yr - $750,000.00/yr. This range is provided by UVM Health - UVM Medical Center. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
