Wilson Engineers has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, experienced Proposal Specialist. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years of previous experience working for an engineering, architecture, or construction firm.
This position requires 40 hours per week in our Tempe office and is responsible for proposal efforts and other marketing tasks in support of our branding and marketing strategies. We are seeking candidates who have strong graphic design, technical, communication, and organizational skills.
This role works on-site and is not hybrid nor remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities : Pursuits, Proposals, and SOQ's (80%)
In coordination with the Marketing Manager, helps coordinate project pursuits, manages pursuit processes, and follows quality procedures for document production for the full pursuit lifecycle, including interview preparation
Prepares, assists with, and tracks proposals, statements of qualifications, and other marketing collateral from concept through completion
Composes, edits, and creates collateral material and prepares staff resumes and project experience needed for proposals and statement of qualifications (SOQ’s)
Works with Project Managers and Technical Staff to coordinate responses to develop messaging and content for proposals
Completes technical tasks such as creating graphics, layout templates, proofreading, preparing review drafts, and final edits
Responsible for the timely production and quality of marketing deliverables and communications
Other Marketing Tasks (20%)
Assists with communications and ideas for marketing initiatives
Helps in the creation of content and graphics for digital and printed materials
Assists in the coordination of special events and conferences
Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field and / or equivalent combination of education and experience
Requires at least 2-5 years of relevant work experience in an engineering, construction, architecture, or a similar industry
Must have advanced experience with executing competitive Proposals / SOQ’s
Requires advanced proficiency in graphic design using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
Have a passion for creating high-quality finished products
Creative thinker / problem-solver
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills
Must be able to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
Support and actively participate in a team-focused workplace
