Job Summary Laundry Aides are an essential part of our community, providing the best life and care for our residents. This position carries the responsibility of maintaining a clean environment with a special focus on proper infection control practices. Laundry Aides are responsible for transporting laundry containers of soiled and clean linen, collecting and sorting soiled laundry and linens, and operating commercial and residential washing machines and dryers. Laundry Aides ensure an adequate supply of linens are available within the Health Pavilion and ensures resident’s laundry and linens are returned following cleaning.
Qualifications and Requirements
High Diploma or Equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to read and understand printed instructions for the use of chemicals and cleaning agents
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to staff, residents, families, and community members
Must be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
All applicants must complete and pass a Level II Background Check and Drug Screening
Location and Pay Gainesville, FL – $14.50–$15.95 per hour
