Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This contract position with the potential for a permanent role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. The role focuses on accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. Responsibilities: - Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors. - Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking. - Maintain financial records and documentation in compliance with organizational standards. - Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to prepare reports and analyze data. - Collaborate with team members to support the overall accounting function. - Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures within financial operations. - Assist with reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies as needed. - Provide support during audits and other financial reviews. - Stay updated with accounting best practices to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for financial reporting and documentation. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work onsite in Spartanburg, South Carolina. - Familiarity with accounting principles and practices. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. - Experience with financial software systems is a plus.
