Focus on delivering a top‑notch customer experience in beauty and personal care within CVS’s 8,000+ stores.

Position Summary A licensed beauty retail consultant responsible for end‑to‑end customer experience, providing personalized sales service, and performing paid beauty services.

Customer Sale Experience

Seek out customers to ensure they receive a world‑class beauty advisor experience.

Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs; product upsell and suggestive selling.

Use verbal skills to generate sales while guiding conversations.

Serve as the brand expert to answer customer questions and maximize sales basket.

Invite customers to in‑store events, explain promotions, and close sales of products and services.

Performing Services

Represent CVS and partner brands while upholding the highest standards of service.

Provide ear‑piercing services in all stores and all other applicable services per location.

Pass proficiency assessments before performing services.

Educate customers on proper product usage and benefit features.

Manage time between consultations, scheduled services, and walk‑in clients.

Display active Cosmetology/Esthetician license during all working hours.

Operational

Create and maintain product displays and promotional materials.

Participate in corporate or local sales programs and events.

Maintain a clean, well‑stocked zone meeting hygiene standards.

Enforce all CVS sanitation and hazardous waste policies.

Complete ongoing sales, brand, and paid service training.

Adhere to company appearance, policies, and guidelines.

Stay current on latest beauty trends and techniques.

Required Qualifications

Valid Cosmetology/Esthetician license in the state of employment.

Maintain an active license and display it during all working hours.

Perform ear‑piercing services in all stores; other services as required.

Pass all required skills assessments and training courses.

Use sales data with product/brand knowledge to meet goals.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Goal‑driven with multi‑tasking ability.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Available for retail schedule including nights, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours.

For Nevada applicants, confirm Makeup Artist or Threader Registration.

Bi‑lingual in English and Spanish for specific stores.

Minimum 18 years old; high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior beauty sales experience with a strong passion for beauty.

Physical Requirements

Stand for extended periods; move throughout the store; perform stocking and product display tasks.

Sto Op, kneel, crouch and reach or grasp objects, including lower shelves.

Perform manual dexterity tasks such as hair styling, makeup application, and ear piercing.

Support required qualifications’ physical demands.

Education High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 hours

Time Type Full time

Pay Range $16.50 – $24.00 per hour (base hourly rate). The actual salary depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
