Mobile Diesel Technician Level II As a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II, you will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and follow‑up repairs, and diagnostic work on a range of vehicles. You’ll learn advanced diagnostics and repair skills under the guidance of a senior technician. A successful Technician complies with all company policies and achieves high performance metrics. DUTIES

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment (electrical, brake, cooling, starters/alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials). Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment using portable tools and test instruments. Inspect, test, and listen for malfunctions; use handheld computers and pressure gauges. Road‑test vehicles to confirm functionality. Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and preserve sound judgment. Manage parts inventory and perform periodic reconciliation. Maintain and operate the company‑issued service vehicle and conduct safety checks. Work with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve concerns. Prioritize concurrent tasks and allocate time effectively. Use hand tools, precision instruments, welding equipment, and lifts. Document work in the Repair Orders (“RO”) via the iOS TRAIT application. Complete DOT forms and other documentation promptly. Operate independently and manage a daily schedule. Maintain high productivity and meet standard repair times. Obtain parts from approved vendors as needed. Communicate with management and support staff for approvals and PO retrieval. Perform work safely, complying with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations. REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an alternative combination of education and experience). Possess a set of hand tools necessary for the role. HM 183 Cargo Tank Training/Experience preferred. Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months. Pass a DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screen and DOT physical (or submit a valid DOT medical card with >4 months to expiration). Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license. Safe driving record and in possession of a valid driver’s license. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS OR OBTAINED WITHIN 18 MONTHS
