Tax Return Preparer

Job Description Small Sun City CPA firm needs a tax preparer to help out in the back office. This is a great job for someone who has tax reeturn prep experience from H&R Block or elsewhere that can make a commitment for the tax season (February-April). This is an on-site position only and you will work in tandem with the CPAs to make sure all clients' returns are filed on time. This is a 40 hour workweek with 1 hour for lunch each day (office closes). Qualified individuals will be interviewed with a proposed start date late January 2026.

Qualifications will include:

Minimum 1-2 years experience in business and individual tax preparation

Experience using Drake or Lacerte software preferable

Must be diligent, detail oriented and able to complete tasks with deadlines

Have the ability to commit to this assignment for the duration of the tax season (mid-April 2026)

This is a temporary position only – most likely will not go perm.
