Responsibilities
Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions.
Setup and document tooling and safe practices for Press Brake operations.
Perform in-process checks to maintain all required tolerances and quality.
Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
Operate, prove programs, set machine functions, deburr and inspect parts to assure conformance.
Work from drawings and sketches, read and understand manuals/specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine within capabilities; report all malfunctions to Management.
Accurately report labor to jobs as needed.
Organize work area before and after parts are processed, stack completed parts properly on blocks or pallets to eliminate double handling and work efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area during operations.
Communicate with management, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
Communicate all production-related items to next shift operators or shift supervisors.
Qualifications
High school diploma with vocational or trade school training.
2–3 years press brake experience preferred.
Detail and quality oriented.
Good attendance.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Professional communication, attitude and image.
Ability to read tape measure, calipers, and protractor.
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
