Mechanical Drafter I
Insight Global is seeking a Mechanical Drafter I to prepare accurate layouts and shop drawings from rough or detailed sketches, engineering notes, and specifications. Responsibilities include coding, dimensioning, specifying materials, weld symbols, tolerances, and surface finishes. The role involves revising drawings, interpreting complex instructions, consulting with engineers and project teams, performing calculations, and supplying templates for shop equipment. Additional duties include preparing engineering orders, updating inventory systems, and supporting supervisor‑assigned tasks. This role is direct hire; however, it is paid hourly, and the hourly rate is determined by level of experience. The estimated salary range is between $37,500-$47,500 based on level of experience.

Qualifications
High school education or equivalent and applicable drafting training through college or vo‑tech courses.
0-2 years’ experience in mechanical and structural drafting in a similar industry.
Advanced computer and software skills. Proficient in AutoCAD.
Excellent mathematical and measurement computation skills.
Nice to Have
Hands‑on mechanical trade experience or knowledge.
