Responsibilities and Expectations Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. There are two shifts: a morning shift that begins by replenishing product as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, and an evening shift. The Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift and maintaining the department’s cleanliness. Physical requirements include lifting up to 60 pounds, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory tasks.
Qualifications
Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic PC/Outlook skills.
Retail Management Certificate.
