Key responsibilities:
* Business Transformation Strategy & Consulting:
* Analyze clients' current plant operations, processes, and technology landscapes to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for digital transformation and business process reengineering. * Develop and articulate compelling business cases for transformation initiatives, demonstrating clear ROI and value proposition to senior stakeholders. * Craft and present strategic recommendations, leveraging engineering and technology capabilities.
* Operational Excellence & Technology Implementation:
* Apply deep expertise in plant operations (e.g., refining, petrochemicals, upstream/midstream processing) to design and implement optimized processes and workflows. * Collaborate with technology solution teams to deploy and integrate digital solutions, such as predictive maintenance, digital twins, process automation, and data analytics platforms. * Leverage Asset Management services and frameworks to help clients improve asset performance, reliability, and maintenance strategies. * Provide expert guidance on the application of industry best practices (e.g., HAZOP, SIL) and regulatory compliance in all transformation initiatives.
* Leadership, Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer:
* Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, technology specialists, and client stakeholders. * Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing operational insights and expertise in digital technologies for the Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors. * Contribute to the development of knowledge base and best practices in plant operations and digital transformation.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Industry Knowledge: 20+ years of experience in plant operations in Oil & Gas or Chemicals industries (refining, petrochemicals, upstream, midstream). * Business Experience: Demonstrated experience in driving or participating in business transformation initiatives within a plant or operational context. * Operations: Proven ability to analyse complex operational challenges and translate them into actionable transformation strategies. * Digital Technologies: Good understanding of digital technologies, including Industrial Automation, data analytics, AI/ML, Digital Twins, and their application in optimizing plant operations. * Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. * Leadership: Strong project management and leadership capabilities. * Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
