The role uses lifting and equipment to load/unload and move large fountain machines/units at customer accounts. The candidate prepares equipment for delivery and maintains all paperwork associated with equipment installation and removal. Installs fountain beverage systems from start to finish and may also assist with moving, storing, and organizing equipment in inventory at the facility. The position requires lifting, pushing/pulling, and moving vending/fountain machines that weigh approximately 800–1,200 pounds several times over a 10–12 hour period.
Primary Accountabilities
Unload and load new and used vending or fountain machines for daily delivery.
Install vending machines and load/reload with products as necessary.
Repair and perform preventative maintenance on vending/fountain equipment.
Educate customers on basic equipment repair and upkeep procedures.
Collect accurate and complete equipment information.
Maintain parts, tools, and equipment.
Follow DOT regulations.
Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate customer/work‑order records for each delivery.
Transport miscellaneous items such as compressors for repair/scrap and cardboard for recycle.
Fill/adjust machines to provide the proper mix of product.
Establish positive customer relationships.
Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age; 21 or older if a CDL is required.
Valid U.S. CDL license with non‑excepted interstate status (if applicable).
Pass DOT physical and DOT road test (if applicable).
Follow DOT regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively in English if CDL is required.
Helpful Experience
Experience working with mechanical systems such as troubleshooting and repairing appliances, basic plumbing, circuits, fuses, and electrical components, and operating hand and power tools.
Experience generating and setting work schedules, determining priority of work projects, building work schedules, and scheduling tasks during the day.
Experience operating trucks requiring a CDL Class B license (e.g., driving forwards, backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces).
Experience serving customers, resolving customer issues, ensuring appropriate communication with store managers, and following up on customer requests.
Experience completing basic paperwork such as filling out documentation, turning in forms to a supervisor, and recording timecards and mileage.
Because the material job duties of this role involve regular field work, including visiting customer locations and interfacing with employees, vendors, and customers of the Company, a conditional offer of employment will be contingent upon a successful pre‑employment background check and drug screening.
