Sheet Metal Mechanic As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you will work with galvanized and stainless steel duct. Your main duties will include cutting and measuring sheet metal to fabricate ducts, installing and hanging sheet metal ducts, and installing VAVs in a commercial renovation project. You must be proficient in reading blueprints and laying out your own work.

Responsibilities

Cut and measure sheet metal to fabricate ductwork.

Install and hang sheet metal ducts.

Install VAVs as part of a commercial renovation project.

Read and interpret blueprints and lay out work accordingly.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in sheet metal work and duct installation.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Experience with HVAC installation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in construction environments.

Work Environment You will be working on the renovation of a high school, requiring an active JLA badge. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You will be part of a four-person crew and must wear personal protective equipment at all times, including a hardhat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and a high visibility t-shirt or vest.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
