Driver Position Overview

We are hiring experienced CDL‑A flatbed truck drivers for regional routes in the western United States. Drivers will transport a variety of goods, including glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals for System Transport.
Route & Equipment • Driver type: Experienced CDL‑A Truck Driver • Equipment type: Flatbed • Route type: Regional • Division: Division 290 • Terminal: Kansas City, MO
Financial Package
Weekly pay: $912.23 – $1,862.98 (full‑time)
Annual pay: $47,424.00 – $96,824.00 (full‑time)
Flatbed regional rate: $0.57 – $0.71 per mile (depending on experience)
Accessorial compensation includes tarp pay, stop pay, detention pay, border‑crossing pay, safety bonuses, and over‑dimensional pay.
Transition package: $1,800, with $1,000 for orientation during the first 2 weeks.
Home Time Off most weekends for a 34‑hour reset. Home time may vary by division; this opportunity is for Division 290.

Hiring Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL
Age 21 or older
4+ months of driving experience
Safe driving record
No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years
Background check required
Clean drug test required
Clean clearinghouse result required
Must be physically able to lift a 90‑pound tarp onto a 5‑foot high platform twice (this will be tested during orientation)
Prefer 1‑year truck driving experience (not required)
Commitment to Safety
Modern trucks with lane departure & forward‑collision warning, hard‑brake monitoring, and satellite communication
24/7/365 road service and shops
Truck repairs are completed only when the vehicle is 100% road‑ready
Driver portal with 24/7 support and an award‑winning app for real‑time updates, pay, trip data, and PTO
