Job Description The Assistant Vice President - Collateral Management is responsible for overseeing daily margining activities across multiple entities, ensuring accurate processing of margin calls in line with regulatory requirements and contractual agreements. This role partners closely with Treasury, Trading, Repo, XVA teams, and global head office stakeholders to ensure collateral movements align with optimization and risk management objectives. The position also plays a key role in resolving margin disputes, managing collateral fails, and supporting new business initiatives through process design, testing, and control enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
Process margin calls and provide oversight of the daily margin process across different entities, ensuring adherence with relevant regulatory requirements and contractual obligations outlined in legal agreements.
Review margin calls bookings for accuracy and completeness when authorizing the margin in internal systems and external platforms.
Regular communication with Treasury, Repo, XVA & Trading Desks, and Head Office (Tokyo) to ensure collateral posted is aligned with their optimization objectives.
Formalize escalations of margin call disputes.
Manage and resolve cash and non-cash collateral fails.
Actively participate in development and delivery of comprehensive solutions to support new business initiatives, including writing business requirement documents, creating and executing test scripts, and managing the user acceptance testing process.
Perform and review daily reconciliations that serve as key controls to our margin process and assist management with the design of the Collateral Management control set.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5-10 years of collateral management experience.
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred.
Familiarity with industry utilities (Acadia Margin Manager, Triresolve).
Understanding of collateral related documentation, CSA, MSFTA, GMRA etc.
Knowledge of bilateral and cleared OTC margin processes.
