Overview System Transport is hiring experienced CDL‑A flatbed truck drivers for regional and OTR routes in western America. A driver transports important goods such as glass, steel, aluminum, building materials, machinery, coils, and specialty metals. Competitive pay packages and excellent benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

Transport essential materials on regional and OTR routes.

Lift a 90‑pound tarp onto a 5‑foot high platform twice during orientation.

Adhere to safety standards and orientation requirements.

Equipment & Route Type Equipment: Flatbed. Route Type: Regional Route.

Division & Terminal Division: 290. Terminal: Kansas City, MO.

Home Time Off most weekends for a 34‑hour reset. Home time may vary by division.

Financial Package Weekly Pay: $912.23 – $1,862.98 per week. Annual Pay: $47,424.00 – $96,824.00 per year. Pay is based on experience, routes, regular attendance, and length of service.

Accessorial Compensation

Tarp pay, stop pay, detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, and over‑dimensional pay as appropriate.

Flatbed Regional Driver Rate: $.57 – $.71 per mile, depending on experience.

Transition Package System Transport offers a $1,800 Transition Package; $1,000 is allotted for orientation during the first two weeks.

Hiring Qualifications

Must have a valid Class A CDL.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

4+ months of driving experience required.

A safe driving record on the road.

No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years.

Prefer 1‑year truck driving experience, but not necessary.

A background check is required.

A clean drug test is required.

A clean clearinghouse result is required.

Flatbed driver must be physically able to lift a 90‑pound tarp onto a 5‑foot high platform twice. System Transport will test this during orientation; flatbed drivers tarp about 70% of our loads.
