Associate, New Verticals – Strategy & Operations About the Team The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce by expanding our product offerings on our marketplace platform. Since launching in 2020 we have built a world‑class delivery platform that enables delivery across Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail third‑party partners and our home‑grown DashMart business.

About the Role We are hiring a cohort of four Associate level employees to join our New Verticals Strategy & Operations team.

You will focus on the highest priority initiatives at any given time— that means working on growth for a few months, pivoting to supply‑chain challenges, and driving impactful metrics across multiple verticals.

You will own end‑to‑end initiatives, run A/B tests, launch new pilots, and collaborate with product, engineering, finance, marketing, and operations.

Operate

– stand up pilots, build dashboards, manage week‑over‑week KPIs, and scale wins.

Launch

– net‑new merchants, experiment with new initiatives, and run market tests.

Analyze

– build models in SQL and Excel to evaluate expansion opportunities and prioritize bets.

Build

– translate consumer, merchant, and dasher needs into product requirements and operational improvements.

Collaborate & Influence

– partner with cross‑functional teams across product, engineering, finance, marketing, and operations.

Eligibility • 1‑2+ years of experience in analytical, cross‑functional roles in marketplaces, logistics, tech, operations, strategy, consulting, or banking. • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change. • Strong analytical skills, proficiency with SQL and Excel. • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related.

We currently require candidates to be based in New York or San Francisco. Relocation is not offered and this role is not open to fully remote employees.

Compensation Base salary: $56,500—$95,000 USD (local base pay range includes Illinois and Colorado).

Benefits include 401(k), paid parental leave, medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and mental‑health program.

Paid Time Off • Salaried: flexible paid time off/vacation plus 80 h paid sick time per year. • Hourly: vacation accrue ~1 h for every 25.97 h worked and sick time ~1 h per 30 h worked.
