Superintendent
Position Overview The Superintendent will oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes, particularly in ground-up projects in New York.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations of construction sites * Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and labor force * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes * Monitor project schedules and budgets, adjusting as necessary * Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and quality * Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers * Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site * Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role in construction * Strong knowledge of ground-up construction processes * Familiarity with New York construction regulations and codes * Excellent leadership and communication skills * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail * Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred * OSHA certification is a plus
