Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in a long-term contract position. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely, supporting our clients during peak tax seasons. Responsibilities: - Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, including S Corporations (1120S) and personal returns (1040). - Utilize ProSeries and Intuit tax software to ensure accurate and efficient tax preparation. - Guide clients through the tax documentation process, addressing questions and ensuring compliance with regulations. - Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all relevant tax laws and guidelines. - Work collaboratively with existing staff to manage increased workloads during busy periods. - Offer support for bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online when necessary. - Participate in new business initiatives or process improvements as assigned. Requirements - A minimum of 5 years' experience in tax preparation, with expertise in both individual and S Corporation returns. - Proficiency in using ProSeries and/or Intuit tax software. - Strong familiarity with QuickBooks Online is preferred. - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation not required; Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is acceptable. - Ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting. - Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
