About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director of Marketing and Public Relations for a high-impact, 6-month contract position with the potential to convert to a full-time role. The successful candidate will be responsible for demand creation and market activation, with a focus on optimizing brand presence, cultural relevance, and awareness ahead of the peak summer season. This role requires a leader with strategic depth, execution ability, and a proven bias for action to capitalize on market opportunities. Key responsibilities include designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring messaging consistency, and driving top-of-funnel demand. The Director will also be involved in integrated funnel coordination, market activation through PR-worthy and grassroots marketing, and new product launch coordination.
Applicants must have a minimum of 8 years' of experience in marketing leadership, specializing in brand, integrated campaigns, and demand creation, preferably within high-growth marketplaces or consumer travel and leisure brands. The role demands a candidate with direct experience in emerging digital channels, creator partnerships, and sophisticated content marketing techniques. The ideal candidate will have a track record of managing PR agencies, budgeting, and driving results to achieve targeted Earned Media Value. A strong focus on cultural activation, the ability to create market buzz, and a history of securing high-value earned media through non-traditional activations are essential. The role is hands-on and requires the ability to work in a rapid-deployment, contract environment, transitioning quickly from strategy to execution and delivering measurable results.
