About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of community organizing and social change. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and supporting a strong culture of grassroots organizing, supervising and mentoring staff, and ensuring the organization's vision and mission are effectively executed. This role requires a deep commitment to economic and racial justice, as well as the ability to engage with diverse communities and stakeholders. The Executive Director will also be tasked with fundraising, grant writing, and managing the organization's finances, and must be prepared to work with the Board of Directors to develop and implement a strategic plan.

Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have at least 5 years of community organizing experience, a bachelor's degree, and a proven track record in fundraising and grant applications. Strong communication skills, the ability to work with diverse staff and communities, and a flexible approach to work, including the willingness to travel and work some nights and weekends, are essential. Preferred qualifications include Spanish language proficiency, experience with faith communities and/or labor unions, and strong computer and technology skills. The role demands a leader who can hold themselves and their team accountable, and who is dedicated to the values of the organization, including the promotion of human dignity and the pursuit of social and economic justice.
