About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead its transformative efforts in addressing the region's affordable housing crisis. The CEO will be responsible for driving a comprehensive approach to the three pillars of affordable housing: protecting tenants, preserving affordable housing, and producing new affordable housing. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in housing production, preservation, or homelessness prevention, and a strong background in housing finance, including knowledge of capital markets, bond issuance, and innovative financing structures. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of leadership experience in related fields, experience managing large, diverse boards, and a deep commitment to equity and community.

The successful candidate will be tasked with building a best-in-class organization, establishing clear governance structures, and creating robust financial management systems. They must be adept at political navigation, able to build consensus and manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and be committed to transparent, accountable, and ethical leadership. The CEO will also be expected to oversee the development and implementation of impactful programs, balancing flexibility with accountability, and ensuring that the agency's work advances equity and justice. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree and experience in housing justice strongly preferred. Key competencies for the role include visionary and strategic thinking, organizational leadership, political navigation, financial management, and a results-oriented, accountable approach.
