About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Business Development and Direct Sales to join their dynamic team. This key leadership role is focused on expanding the current portfolio of commercial accounts and driving the acquisition of new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team that grows local and regional key accounts in the direct commercial space, with a strong emphasis on technical, engineering, life sciences, and non-IT service categories. Day-to-day activities include leading by example, managing a healthy P&L, owning revenue and growth targets, developing effective sales plans, and working with a team to ensure the right tools and strategies are in place for lead generation and client engagement.

Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 15 years in sales and business development, and at least 5 years in direct and SOW-based clients in the commercial sector. Experience in sourcing, qualifying, and filling RFI/RFPs, as well as in building sales automation systems and processes, is essential. The role requires a tech-savvy individual who is up-to-date with current technologies and recruitment trends, and who is open to travel up to 30-40% of the time. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are a must, along with a proven track record in leadership, setting and executing a clear vision, and a strong focus on growth and development.
