About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Special Assets and Real Estate Workout. The successful candidate will be responsible for the independent management of a diverse portfolio of bespoke illiquid credit investments. This includes the monitoring of business and financial performance, as well as in-depth research and analysis of market dynamics. The role involves reviewing financial statements, cash flow statements, and covenants, and negotiating a range of legal documents in both out-of-court and in-court restructuring processes. The VP will also be tasked with the restructuring of complex commercial loans secured by commercial real estate, and the sale or refinancing of loans and real estate assets.
Applicants must have a minimum of 6-8 years' of industry experience in credit and restructuring roles, with a proven track record of working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. The role requires strong fundamental credit, negotiating, and influencing skills, as well as extensive knowledge of loan documents. Experience with legal processes, including bankruptcy and UCC foreclosure, is essential, as is the ability to direct attorneys through the restructuring process. The ideal candidate will have a background in diverse credit structures, complicated illiquid transactions, and a broad range of industries. Excellent Excel modeling skills, the ability to write clear and concise memoranda, and a network of industry contacts with financial advisors and law firms are also necessary. The VP should be a 'Player Coach', capable of mentoring and managing a team, and must demonstrate the highest level of personal integrity, ethical standards, and a collaborative work ethic.
