About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for Private Share Lending Underwriting and Portfolio Management. The successful candidate will be part of a new group focused on managing and growing the Private Share Lending business, which provides liquidity solutions for clients. This role requires an experienced credit professional with a strong background in lending and credit, particularly in the areas of private banking, investment banking, or commercial banking. The VP will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the existing loan portfolio, collaborating on new loan originations, and partnering with credit risk managers on portfolio risk control and reporting. Key responsibilities include preparing high-quality credit memoranda, managing the loan application and underwriting process, and ensuring the integrity of portfolio data. The role also involves working with various teams across the firm, including financial advisors, private bankers, loan operations, compliance, credit risk, and legal teams.
Applicants for the VP position should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-7 years' of relevant experience. The role demands a detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical skills, the ability to interpret financial statements, and a high level of focus on work quality. Experience with troubled debt restructuring and non-accrual loans is a plus. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to interact with individuals at all levels, and the capacity to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required, along with significant knowledge of accounting and finance. The role also involves managing various risk and audit processes, developing training material, and seeking feedback for product enhancements.
