About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President for its Equity Capital Markets Origination team. The successful candidate will be tasked with the origination, structuring, and execution of a diverse range of equity and equity-linked transactions, including IPOs, follow-on offerings, convertible bonds, and equity derivatives. This client-facing role demands a professional with a strong market knowledge, sophisticated analytical skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate clients and internal teams. Key responsibilities include working closely with industry coverage and M&A teams to identify and originate equity-related mandates, preparing and presenting pitch materials, and overseeing the full execution cycle of ECM transactions.
Applicants must have 4-7 years' of experience in ECM, investment banking, or a related field, with a preference for those who have previously held an Associate position in an ECM or M&A group. The role requires a candidate with a demonstrated track record in the origination and execution of various ECM products, strong technical and financial modeling skills, and the ability to lead a deal team. Professional attributes sought include exceptional presence, presentation skills, a high degree of self-motivation, and a superior work ethic. The VP will also be expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of global equity markets, investor sentiment, and regulatory changes, and to advise clients on transaction structures, market windows, pricing, and allocation strategies.
