We are seeking an experienced Broadcast Technician to join our team. This is a part-time position in the Southern California Beach Area (Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach). Our studio is known for its innovative approach to broadcasting, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for creating high-quality content. In this role, you will be working at a local television studio's broadcasting of government meetings and ensuring proper upkeep of broadcast equipment and systems. Candidate should be experienced using video switchers, camera controls, on-air graphics, audio, and A/V systems. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our broadcast studio, from setting up equipment to troubleshooting technical issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Join us at Pegasus Studios and be part of a creative team dedicated to delivering top-notch broadcasts. Schedule: We are looking for someone to work 8-12 shifts per month. Most productions take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. There are occasional shifts on Thursday and Friday. Productions run from 4 to 8 hours on average. Overtime is paid for any shift going over 8 hours. Most productions start around 3 pm and end around 9 pm, but can and will go later. Responsibilities: • Set up, operate, and maintain television broadcast equipment. • Configure video streaming platforms (Zoom, YouTube, Cablecast). • Report problems with equipment that may need adjustments or repairs. • Record broadcast programs. Operate on air CG graphics. Monitor audio levels and streaming video sources. • Program television replays and maintain schedules. • Work in a team environment. • Document equipment issues, write reports for troubleshooting information, and update operational materials. • Communicate clearly with staff and maintain a professional work environment and dress code. Qualifications: • Prior broadcast, audio/visual, or videographer experience is required. • Candidate must be professional, have solid transportation, be punctual, be able to adhere to a business casual dress code, and be able to commit to scheduled dates. • Prior local government meeting experience is beneficial but not required. • Experience with video streaming, network configuration, and A/V is a huge plus!
