Grand Canyon University is seeking an Athletics Broadcasting Engineer. The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for all university athletics broadcast and livestreaming events. This includes over 150 broadcasts and/or livestreams per year. The Broadcast Engineer will monitor, maintain and perform preventative and repair maintenance on the equipment used. The Engineer will also make recommendations for new equipment and strategies to allow for a better and more efficient Broadcast experience.

What you will do:
- Setup, configuration, and operation of all Broadcast or Streaming equipment necessary for any Athletics Broadcast that takes place on campus
- Troubleshooting and quick decision making on equipment used and configuration to ensure broadcast will commence without sacrificing quality
- Act as a liaison for outside athletics broadcast entities and ensure their needs are met to complete broadcast efforts
- Repair and Maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure full functionality. This includes regular maintenance and inventory tracking of equipment
- Provide recommendations on new equipment, processes, and standards to improve the live broadcast efforts.
- Work closely with producers, directors, camera operators, and IT staff to deliver transmission of reliable broadcasts.
- Create and submit tech books to broadcast partner for each live event when applicable
- Working knowledge and understanding of workflow for sports-related broadcasts
- Requires working nights, weekends, and holidays and in-person presence on game days
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent broadcast experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with live broadcast or video streaming.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical troubleshooting experience.
- Must be able to pass preemployment background investigations.
