You’ll divide your time between:
- Boston Chefs – Boston’s go-to digital platform for restaurant news, culinary events, and industry jobs
- Tasty Creative – a boutique integrated marketing firm that produces digital marketing campaigns, branded storytelling, and real life experience for food, beverage, and hospitality clients.
Working closely with our Creative Director and Executive Editor, you’ll create and distribute content across channels—writing stories, producing short-form video, updating member content, managing our social presence, and supporting content marketing and social media advertising campaigns for brand clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
BostonChefs.com Content & Marketing
- Create, edit, and publish content on BostonChefs.com, including: Restaurant news, chef spotlights, and seasonal dining guides Event promos and editorial features Member content updates: menus, bios, photos, etc. Restaurant job postings for our Industry Insider vertical
- Produce and publish BostonChefs’ social media content
- Stay on top of trends in social video, culinary media, and influencer content
- Maintain and execute monthly social media calendar
- Plan, shoot, and edit short-form video at restaurants and events
- Write compelling copy for social media, newsletter, and website
- Produce and deploy our bi-weekly e-licious email newsletter, coordinating content and creative
- Track and report on social and email performance metrics
Client Projects & Advertising
- Support creative strategy, direction, production, and post-production for client campaigns
- Assist with photo and video shoots, ad asset creation, and content presentation
- Contribute to the creation of campaign reports and performance summaries
Business Development & Operations
- Collaborate across the team on ongoing strategy, product development, brand voice, and audience growth
- Business process design, documentation and implementation
- Pitch in on a range of projects — from event support to admin tasks — embracing the all-hands-on-deck spirit of a small, collaborative team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years experience in a content, editorial, social media, or creative production role
- Strong copywriting and editing skills (for both web and social)
- Proficient in social media video creation—planning, filming, editing (e.g. CapCut, Adobe Premiere)
- Experience with client and/or vendor relations including coordinating deliverables, timelines and meetings; managing expectations; and facilitating communication across all parties.
- Comfortable with photo editing and design tools (e.g. Canva, Photoshop, Lightroom)
- Familiarity with social media, email marketing and website performance metrics
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Constant Contact)
- Organized, independent, and collaborative—you manage your time well and work great in a team
- Bonus: experience in the hospitality or food space
