Fire System Design Works LLC, a sister company of Fireline Sprinkler LLC, is rapidly growing and looking to expand its team to include an additional Design Engineer in Charleston, SC. We are a leading provider of fire protection systems, with a rich history spanning over 30 years in the industry. The Design Engineer is responsible for creating fire protection systems, ensuring quality and compliance throughout the process, and collaborating with project management and the sales team. Design Engineer Responsibilities: Design commercial fire sprinkler systems in a wide range of industries Perform hydraulic calculations for designed projects Use CAD in the design of fire protection systems Conduct construction site review/survey on buildings if needed Submit plans to General Contractors/owners and follow specifications Communicate with contractors and AHJs under supervision Generate materials lists for completed designs Process all necessary close-out documents Design Engineer Qualifications: ~3+ years of current fire sprinkler design experience ~ Understand of code compliance and local AHJ requirements for standard systems ~ Ability to read and interpret documents, such as blueprints, codes, standards, specifications, safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions ~ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Our mission statement reflects our purpose: “Your life safety is our life’s work” Fire System Design Works, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer
