The Opportunity
As D Magazine Partners launches a new digital and social strategy to meet the demands of a fast-evolving media landscape, its business media platform—anchored by D CEO —is seeking a Managing Editor who will work with the Editor and Executive Editor to both protect and propel our award-winning brand. This pivotal role bridges legacy craftsmanship with forward-thinking execution—keeping print excellence at the forefront while aligning content operations for a seamless print-to-digital future. This is an in-office role that collaborates across departments.
What You’ll Do
Write, edit, and report on Dallas business news for a C‑suite audience, going beyond the who‑what‑when‑where to focus on the how and why.
Leverage top leadership access to give readers insights they can’t get anywhere else.
Maintain editorial excellence, voice consistency, and accuracy.
Coach and develop other newsroom teammates.
Translate content for digital, guided by data and in close collaboration with the digital strategy team.
Contribute to planning and execution of high‑profile projects such as the Dallas 500 , The Business of Sports , and Greater Good .
Collaborate with design, digital, marketing, events, and audience teams to support growth of the business media platform.
Who You Are
A talented writer and editor with at least five years of newsroom or magazine experience.
