The Brandman Centers for Senior Care (BCSC), a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), provides high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services. We are a program of Los Angeles Jewish Health, renowned for providing quality care to vulnerable seniors.
The responsibilities of the PACE Driver include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Brandman Centers for Senior Care (BCSC) Transportation Coordinator, the Driver picks up and delivers passengers on a door-to-door basis to and from destinations, according to a pre-arranged schedule. Delivery of at home meals and medicine in an efficient manner, in accordance with all standards. Receives daily schedule and routing for the transportation of passengers. Directly responsible for the safety of all passengers from time of pick up to the destination. The PACE Driver will be expected to ensure that the vehicle is in compliance with all safety requirements. Other duties as required. Education and Experience:
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess at least one year of geriatric experience and one to three years' experience driving passenger vehicles for elderly and/or disabled passengers OR must be able to successfully complete classroom and on-the job training courses. Valid California driver's license (Class B or C) with Passenger Endorsement Preferred) with no moving violations in last two years and good driving record. Verification of completion of CPR (BLS) and first aid training. TB screening and successful completion of a health examination by a hospital-designated nurse practitioner or physician is required for employment.
